To utilize our Barracuda Spam Firewall, we will need to have
your Internet domain's E-mail directed to our Barracuda.
To accomplish that, the DNS server will need to be updated for
your domain. Specifically, we will need you to change your domain's MX record at
your DNS server to use our Barracuda. We have staff available to assist with
this if needed.
Before the change is made, we will need to configure all the
E-mail addresses on it so all of your E-mail addresses work when the switch is made.
If you run your own Internet mail server, you will also want
to configure it after the switch to only accept E-mail from the Internet from
our Barracuda, and ignore all others.
That will keep the spammers from using your mail server
directly and bypassing the spam filter device.
We have knowledgeable staff familiar with many E-mail server
configurations to assist in these changes.
